XJ – Front Frame Plating – Outer

Here are our 3/16″ steel front outer frame plates! These help reinforce the unibody to avoid the flex and cracking issues XJs are known for. This has slots in all bend areas of the frame so it can be pushed into the contours of the frame rail by hand and/or clamps. Make sure to remove all paint and contaminants from weld area, and stitch weld into place to disperse heat. Welding should be done by an experienced welder!

We will soon be adding a set of additional stiffeners to laminate the bottom of the frame rail and tie into these for the maximum reinforcement possible, but there is no issue adding those at a later date.
